Segmentation Fault while running Evolution for the first time

Wesley Gentine
Hello People,

I am running evolution in my laptop and while configuring my account, when I select some fetch mail option, evolution exits.

No error appeared, then I ran with gdb and the following output is outed:

(evolution:1931): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_window_set_type_hint: assertion `!GTK_WIDGET_VISIBLE (window)' failed

(evolution:1931): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_window_set_wmclass: shouldn't set wmclass after window is realized!

(evolution:1931): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_widget_hide: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
[Switching to Thread 0x8070000 (LWP 100157)]
0x28a7d735 in gtk_combo_box_set_active_iter ()
   from /usr/X11R6/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.600

My system is:

FreeBSD stardust 6.0-BETA4 FreeBSD 6.0-BETA4 #0: Fri Sep  9 19:35:16 GMT 2005   wgentine@stardust:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/STARDUST6  i386

Can someone help me?

Thanks,

Wesley Gentine

Right, but just stating the function where it crashed does not help a
lot.
Can you run it under gdb and get the whole stack trace. Also doing a
"thread apply all bt" and getting the stack traces of all threads would
rock.

Evolution Version informations are also important in helping, FWIW Most
of us would prefer
you filing a bug at http://bugzilla.gnome.org with all the information
required.

Cheers,
Shreyas

Hi,
I am using evolution 2.2.3 under freebsd 4-stable, i have one problem
with emails in HTML format and the "img src" when it doesn't have the
gif extention, something like: "http://..../image.php?n=1" it doesn't
show it.
Can someone please tell me where could be the problem?
Thanks

I am not very clear on what is exactly the problem that you faced, still
please file a bug in bugzilla under gtkhtml, with clear steps, and I
would look into it.

Hello,

After looking for old bugs in bug-buddy, I found the same bug, and after apply the crude patch attached to this bug, the problem was fixed. But, while editing preferences, account, if any fields are changed, ok button is disabled. What is this?

Thanks,

Wesley
