evolution to do list

Gnome Evolution - General mailing list
Hello,

In my evolution (Fedora 32) is a to do list. It is in the main window
right side

I guess it has something to do with tasks (evolution taks I mean)

But in evolution manual no hint to any use of to do list.

Where is to find help for evolution? mailing list did not give anything
in that direction..

thank you

Jaap

I have no idea what you are looking at.

Help : Contents : "Memos and Tasks Management"

It is very straight forward.

Fedora 32 is unreleased. Please indicate the version of Evolution
(Help->About).

It's just displays a list of upcoming things - like calendar items and
tasks with specific date information (by default).  It's not something
complex or deep. If it bothers you, you can turn it off (View -> Layout
-> To Do Bar).  There's very little configuration for it.

I'm sure the Help maintainers would be very appreciative of any text
you can give them to correct this omission.

thank you,

Now I see it is a language matter, to do list or task list used both to point to same piece of software and use.

thanks again.

That's not the same as the in-application help, which is what you were
pointed to.

I presume that's why is it isn't mentioned in the application help.

Not looking very hard ...

$ host irc.gimp.net
irc.gimp.net is an alias for irc.gimp.org.
irc.gimp.org has address 158.69.32.35
irc.gimp.org has address 51.15.53.172
irc.gimp.org has address 130.239.18.215

That's ancient and outdated, hence I stopped reading here... :)

If you find issues in the help which is *shipped* ina recent Evolution
version, then please file dedicated bug reports in GNOME Gitlab under
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/issues/new , after reading
https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines

Mailing lists are good for support requests, discussions etc.
Mailing lists are not a place to report or track bugs.

Thanks a lot for your help!

By the way, is it possible to shut down that old page, or at least put
a warning on it that explicitly says that it is outdated?
Many times when I try to get help I get lost because I find different
documentation pages and don't know which is the
correct/best/affordable one.

Thanks,
Andrea
